Chew Dog wants to thank you for allowing us to provide your pet with the same quality treats that we provide for our own pets. We pride ourselves in being 100% American Made. Our products come direct from one of the many farms in the Midwest that provide butchers with beef for human consumption. Our cattle are USDA graded. That means the steak, ribs and hamburgers you are eating could very well have provided us with the liver your pet is about to enjoy!
About Our Treats
Our liver treats are smoked and dried. This process takes place over 30 hours per piece to ensure that it is completely dry and consumable for your pet. We simply smoke our liver in a Ham House. We do not soak it in brine (salt water), and we don't add seasonings or any artificial flavors its Just 100% dried -- NOT dehydrated liver. That means that you are getting the quality and quantity that you pay for. If you have had a smoked ham for the holiday or a special occasion, Our product might have come from the same USDA facility (# 035592-01A-1ZA) That ensured your satisfaction in the purchase of your meat.
Now you are thinking why so many USDA numbers? It ensures better safety measures so why NOT!
On March 15, 2006 the FDA learned that certain pet foods were making animals sick, and unfortunatly killing some cats and dogs. The FDA, upon inspections found contaminants in vegetable proteins imported into the United States from China and used as ingredients in pet food products, Generating a massive pet food recall, then causing concern for ALL consumables products in the market. For the approximately 73 million dogs and cats owned in the United States, 39% of U.S. households own at least one dog or cats that was made ill! THAT was a serious issue.
